Connecting Civil Society with Election Security Professionals
America’s election system is vulnerable to foreign and domestic attacks that can alter the outcome of elections.
We enlist America’s top cybersecurity and election integrity experts to provide critical answers to election security questions for election officials, polling administrators, and journalists.
What do we mean by “Election Security”?
Election Security is the broad discipline involved with ensuring that people are able to vote, that votes are captured and tabulated accurately, reported accurately and that this is all done with as much transparency as possible, to foster accurate public confidence.
Election security professionals are engaged with any of the following activities, among others:
-
Running effective post-election audits
-
Researching improved ways to perform audits
-
Intruding (i.e., Breaking into) voting technology (scanners, other terminals, tabulators, voter registration databases, etc.) to find security vulnerabilities, ideally before real attackers do
This organization exists in order to protect trustworthy, free and fair elections in the United States, but we can’t do it without help.
Please subscribe to ElectionSec emails and protect American democracy.
